the horse in this video clip was discovered in a kill pen 2 days before shipping to Slaughter. She is now 5 and this video clip was taken 6 months after being in the kill pen (she was a racehorse, 2 wins in 5 starts) thursday february 28: My Little Bean "Beanie" Shame on a system that nearly allowed this to happen.

Barbaro and Showing Up: Fair Hill connection to the Derby ...today is the Kentucky Derby and Barbaro, one of the favourites, and unbeaten, was at Fair Hill all last summer before going down to Florida for the winter.
