firefox versus ie.

i have been using firefox for a couple of weeks and thought i would quickly compare the two, security issues aside.

firefox uses tabs, so no need to alt-tab to see what windows you have open etc. pros: i can see from the tabs on the view i am looking at what other windows i have open. cons: i am sssssoooooo used to alt-tabbing it will take a while to stop doing it. on the whole though i love tabs. i noticed yesterday that the tab even tells me if gmail has any new mail ... now that is COOL! (if only googlenews could inbed the title of the latest story in the tab ?)

wrong URLS: ie really pisses me off when it defaults to an ms search engine ... all i need to do is edit what i had keyed in ... and firefox lets me. sorry but this is MUCH better from a design usability standpoint I think.

firefox took me two minutes to download, it seems fast ... i am currently enamoured with it!

I loathe Internet Exploder for it's lack of support for web-standards.
