Horse Welfare Projects and Essays
The following highlight my current work, which is essentially working on the horse slaughter issue while galloping horses at various racetracks in North America. I am currently at Woodbine, ON Canada.- Alex Brown Exercise Rider and Horse Welfare Advocate: Blood Horse's Talkin' Horses

- Sensible debate over unwanted horses would help anti-slaughter lobby: My essay on why horse slaughter is unecessary and is simply a demand-based business.
- New York Times: The Rail I helped cover the 2008 Triple Crown via this blog. Very cool experience and exposure.
- Alex Brown Racing: Started with Barbaro, now following horse racing in general, my exploits (traveling from racetrack to racetrack) and pushing to end horse slaughter. We have active discussion boards.
- Alex Brown Racing: Unfolding Story: A wiki, designed to document horse welfare information from the above project.

It is true. The more I actually design other peoples weblogs and websites the less time I have to actually run my own.
and now i have to get ready to start another blog ... for the class i am teaching this fall ... which begins in less than 2 weeks!
... and incorporating a wiki project ... that has to be worked out this week
Yeah, I am trying to fit in studying wiki's inbetween trying to find work, designing, preparing for uni at end of this month and life ;-)

Have you got someone to design your class site yet? Because I am more than willing to whip a site template up for you if you haven't.
designing the class blog, that would be GREAT. How much lead time do you need ? Class starts a week on wednesday, but want to figure out all the class projects before the design possibly ? cool!
A straight forward template shouldn't take very long to put together, so yes, just send me an email with how you want the site or look and feel - plus a little info about what you will be teaching this time round. All ideas will speed up the design process ;-)
cool, once i get hold of a copy of the book i'll be using i will then be able to determine how the projects will work with the course material and then get back to you. I hope by end of day wednesday this week!
