I am still alive. I spend most of my time managing timwoolleyracing.com. The site started slowly ... for a long while, then Barbaro came along, it took off and is still gaining in traffic despite the tragic loss of Barbaro.
Over the passed 6 months Fans of Barbaro have helped rescue more than 700 horses from slaughter, raising more than $350,000 in doing so. They have also raised monies for the Barbaro Fund, The Fund for Laminitis and other horse welfare funds. Recently they gathered for the first time to celebrate Barbaro's legacy, on April 29, on what would have been Barbaro's fourth birthday. Meeting were held all over the country, the main gathering at Delaware Park, where Barbaro broke his maiden. Fans of Barbaro are also organizing to help end horse slaughter in the US. It is a tough battle, but when you have popular opinion on your side you hope to win.
