it has been a while since I have posted, but this e-mail needed posting. I received it as a response to a short e-mail I sent out requesting someone to "back off":

How interesting…you and your “puppet guards” purport the ABR forum is for open, democratic, and lively discussion amongst those of differing opinions. I have also been told, by one of your puppets no less, that deleting of posts and banishment from the forum is a consequence of a personal attack. Of course my deleted posts did nothing of the sort…”good question” was one, and the other, “I happen to agree with you”. Yet those two posts were in some way deemed unacceptable by yourself or a moderator. No problem…I know why and I’d like to ask, what took you so long?

The ABR forum is not democratic in any way, shape, or form. And again, no problem as you can run it any way you deem fit. But we certainly are having our eyes opened wider and wider when it comes to Alex Brown and those fewer and fewer folks that remain alongside him. My passion is for the welfare of the horses, and your passion is the stroking of your massive ego. I had to wonder how someone who works for the likes of Steve Asmussen can truly care about the welfare of our nations TB racehorses. Well, clearly, you don’t.

I don’t need the ABR forum to rescue horses in need. I had done that long before it was in existence and have continued to do so without it since. How many horses have you had a personal part in rescuing this past year, Alex…one? And are you continuing to pay for maintaining that one horse even now? Rhetorical questions, by the way…no need to answer. I’ve been honored to play an integral part in twelve in 2008, two of which were XXX and XXX. XXX’s claim was attempted by a trainer that I found…where were you?...immersed in the “sport” of horseracing like you are, and you couldn’t come up with one? Fortunately for XXX, I notified my good friend and champion for the horses XXX, who promptly called XXX who in turn notified XXX. But quickly here, we don’t need the strokes…we just love and respect the animal, and desire for them to live.

So ban me Alex. I don’t need to post, but reading the information there certainly cuts down on the amount of time I need to spend finding the dirt on racing. The dirt is ALL OVER on that forum, and it is incredible to watch folks scramble to rescue one horse. Incredible and sad…the non-race folk giving of their time and money to pick up the broken bodies of what racing has tossed aside without a second thought. And while you ban those that are needed in the world of horse rescue, you have the kooks exclaiming their dead racehorse is donning wings and flying over us all, protecting those most unfortunate still running long after they should have been retired. Yea, Alex, keep those folks…they certainly bring credibility to the forum!

One last thing, I did have to chuckle every time I made a post…I could only imagine the scurry of e-mails encouraging to not “engage” me!

I’m done with this Alex so don’t waste your time or anyone else’s with a response…it will only go directly to “junk mail” and from there into the trash.
